East Hills Medical Centre provides women's health care with two female GPs, Dr Robyn White and Dr Uthpala Senaviratne, at 17 Maclaurin Avenue, East Hills. Services include contraception advice and prescriptions, contraceptive implant insertion and removal, cervical screening tests including self-collection, pre-pregnancy checks and vaccinations, antenatal shared care with local hospitals, postnatal checks, period problems, menopause management and breast checks with referral to BreastScreen NSW. Couples planning a pregnancy can book together to review vaccinations, medications, folate and screening before conception. Consultations are mixed billing: concession card holders and patients aged 18 and under are bulk billed on weekdays, and other patients pay the standard gap of $33. Contraceptive implant insertion is $130 and removal $165, including consumables. Book a long consultation for a first visit, a pre-pregnancy check or a menopause review, and select a female doctor when booking online.
Contraception
Options include the pill, contraceptive implant, injection, vaginal ring, emergency contraception and referral for IUD insertion. Your doctor discusses effectiveness, side effects and what fits your health and plans. Implant insertion and removal are done in the practice.
Cervical screening
Women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 74 need a cervical screening test every five years. You can choose to collect the sample yourself in a private room at the practice or have the doctor take it. Results are reviewed by your GP and you are recalled if follow-up is needed.
Pregnancy
A pre-pregnancy visit checks rubella and varicella immunity, folate, existing medications and any conditions that need managing before conception. Once pregnant, the practice provides early pregnancy care, confirms the pregnancy, arranges first-trimester screening and refers you to the hospital or obstetrician of your choice. Postnatal checks for mother and baby are available at six weeks.
Menopause and mid-life
Menopause care covers symptom management, hormone therapy where appropriate, bone health, heart health and mood. A long consultation gives enough time for a proper review.

Questions patients ask
Can I ask for a female doctor?
Yes. Dr Robyn White and Dr Uthpala Senaviratne are both female GPs. Select either when booking online, or ask reception.
Is cervical screening bulk billed?
The consultation follows the standard fee schedule, with bulk billing for concession card holders and patients aged 18 and under on weekdays. The laboratory test itself is covered by Medicare.
Do you provide antenatal shared care?
Yes. Shared care is arranged with the hospital where you plan to deliver. Ask your GP at your first pregnancy visit.
