Background

Dr Sajid Siddiqi trained at Southwestern University and then worked across NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom, with rotations in gastroenterology, urology, orthopaedics, psychiatry, emergency medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, and obstetrics and gynaecology. He completed his general practice training in the UK and holds Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

He moved to Australia in 2009 and worked in general practice and Aboriginal community health in Tasmania and Queensland before gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning.

From 2013 to 2020 Dr Siddiqi served as GP and Senior Medical Officer with the Australian Defence Force at the Randwick and Holsworthy Army Barracks health centres. That period shaped his current work with veterans: guiding patients through Department of Veterans' Affairs claims and completing permanent impairment assessments.

Dr Siddiqi is a GP trainer and supervisor for the RACGP and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, an examiner for the RACGP, and an adjunct lecturer and clinical supervisor for the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney. Medical students may sit in on his consultations; you can ask reception for a consultation without a student present.
